On October 8, 2017, on the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Vilnius in cooperation with the Polish Institute in Vilnius, an urban game, dedicated to Tadeusz Kosciuszko, was organized as the first event within the framework of the year of Tadeusz Kościuszko in Lithuania.

Despite the rainy weather, 18 Lithuanian and Polish teams (in all more than 50 people) took part in this event.

On behalf of the organizers, the director of the Polish Institute Marcin Łapczyński greeted the participants. "He is our common national hero – not only of Poland and Lithuania, but also of Belarus, USA, France, Switzerland, who fought for freedom and defended the ideals of the 3 May Constitution throughout his life. In my opinion, it is not important how we write his name today – Tadeusz Kosciuszko or Tadas Kosciuško. What is important is that in the history of our peoples we have such an outstanding figure," Łapczyński stressed.

During the two-hour walk, participants had to find 10 places, connected with Tadeusz Kosciuszko or the 1794 uprising, and solve puzzles. The winners were: "Kawka", "Avilys", "Radvila Našlaitėlis ir jo ligos" (eng. Radziwiłł Orphan and his illness).

The prizes were sponsored by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Vilnius and the Polish Institute in Vilnius.
