    On October 2 Ambassador of Poland to Lithuania Urszula Doroszewska, accompanied by Defence Attaché of Poland Colonel Miroslaw Wojcik, met with Minister of National Defence Raimundas Karoblis.

     

     

    Minister stressed the good relations between the two countries in the military sphere. He especially emphasized the role of the common Polish-Lithuanian-Ukrainian brigade, LITPOLUKRBRIG, as an instrument by which our troops can work together and improve their skills. On October 5 the unit will be named after Lithuania’s Great Hetman Konstanty Ostrogski.

     

    The Ambassador thanked Lithuanian side for the logistical support had provided during the Polish Military Contingent "ORLIK 7" participation the NATO Air Policing mission and stressed the good contacts of Polish soldiers with local authorities and local people.
